Event dedicated to the session of the Halk Maslakhaty and the new UN Resolution held in Baku

On August 6, a conference was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Azerbaijan. The event was dedicated to the significance of the upcoming session of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan and the Resolution titled "Year of International Law, 2028," adopted by the UN General Assembly at the initiative of Turkmenistan. The conference was attended by scientists from the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, Turkmen students studying in Azerbaijan, as well as representatives of the mass media and the Turkmen diaspora, reports the Press Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the event, the role of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan as the supreme representative body of public authority in improving the state administration system and ensuring sustainable economic growth was highlighted. It was also emphasized that the upcoming session of the Halk Maslakhaty, scheduled for September 23 this year, will summarize the country's achievements and growth indicators.

Furthermore, participants were provided with detailed information regarding the international initiative of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to declare 2028 as the "Year of International Law." The adoption of this Resolution by the UN General Assembly, co-sponsored by 78 states, served as further evidence of broad international support for Turkmenistan's peace-loving policy and the advancement of the principles of the UN Charter.
