A High-Level Forum on Global Human Rights Governance was held in Beijing on June 11–12, 2026, bringing together heads of relevant agencies, diplomats and authoritative experts. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
Director of the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan Yagmyr Nuryyev participated in the event.
During the specialized session "Green Development and the Protection of Human Rights," the head of the Turkmen delegation delivered a report in which he familiarized the international community in detail with the key vectors of the state policy of Turkmenistan.
The speech particularly emphasized that Turkmenistan, strictly adhering to its internationally recognized status of permanent neutrality, consistently implements the fundamental foreign policy principle of "Peace through Development." This constructive strategy finds its practical embodiment in the country's environmental initiatives, where environmental protection and rational nature management serve as the foundation for ensuring sustainable development and the protection of human rights.
