President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov heard a report on the results of activities carried out in the cultural sector during January–September of this year at a Cabinet of Ministers meeting held in digital format on October 2. This was reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Bahar Seyidova provided information on the work carried out in the sector under her supervision. During the reporting period, various cultural events, creative competitions and celebrations were held within the framework of the year «Independent neutral Turkmenistan − the homeland of purposeful winged horses» and the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence.

Among these events were the final stage of the “Yaňlan, Diýarym!” television contest, the musical programme «Arkadagly Gahryman Serdarymyzyň belent maksatlarynyň aýdyň ýollary», as well as performances dedicated to the opening of the Akhal-Teke Horse-Breeding Complex. State awards were presented to workers of culture, art and creative fields, and the winners of the President of Turkmenistan’s “Türkmeniň Altyn asyry” award were determined.

It was also noted that the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan were successfully held in the Republic of Korea, while international creative events were organized within the framework of the World Championship among Akhal-Teke horses held in the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

In order to promote the national horse-breeding heritage, preparations for a new programme titled “Bedew” have begun on the “Sport” television channel. Information was also provided on the activities of the mass media and the State Publishing Service of Turkmenistan.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of further improving the work of the cultural sector, widely promoting national heritage and continuing efforts to preserve historical and cultural monuments. The relevant instructions were given to carry out the necessary measures in this area.
