The National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent a letter of congratulations to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan's Independence. On behalf of the Turkmen people and the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, the Hero-Arkadag wished Arkadagly Hero-Serdar health, longevity, and success in his work dedicated to guiding their beloved Motherland along the bright path of Independence toward the heights of progress and prosperity!
The letter notes that with the proclamation of Independence in the golden autumn of 1991, the century-old dreams of their ancestors for an independent state came true. The iconic lines of the great Turkmen thinker Magtymguly Pyragy: «On the plains where Khidr walked, may our poor folk live//In their own sovereign state for ages to come!» today praise the philosophy of national statehood in Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan. In this new historical epoch, Independence gives inspiration to create, strength to build, and inexhaustible encouragement to strengthen peace and friendship.
«You quite rightly note: «Independence is the foundation of our achievements and victories, our sovereignty, and a happy life in the Epoch of Revival of the New Era of the Powerful State». The glorious and victorious pages being written into Turkmenistan's modern history stand as testament to these grand achievements and guarantee the fulfillment of our goals to elevate the country among the developed nations of the world. Under your leadership, the ancient Turkmen land, illuminated by success, is rapidly transforming before our eyes. Today, our compatriots are not only witnesses to the large-scale transformations encompassing every corner of our beautiful Motherland, but also direct participants in them», the Letter states.
The Hero-Arkadag emphasized that the high milestones achieved across various sectors, in digitalization and the innovative development of the economy, in science, education, and culture, as well as the architectural ribbon-cuttings and festive celebrations held in honor of the primary national holiday, will forever be inscribed in the annals of history.
The Message specifically highlighted that the session of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, conducted at the highest level on the eve of Independence Day, once again demonstrated the steadfast unity of the people and the continuity of the state’s path.
