On September 24, a ceremony was held at the Mejlis of Turkmenistan to present state awards to representatives of the country’s legislative body who were honoured with high state distinctions. Held in the year «Independent neutral Turkmenistan − the homeland of purposeful winged horses», the ceremony became one of the important events on the eve of the 35th anniversary of the country’s sacred Independence. This was reported by the press service of the legislative body.

During the ceremony, in accordance with the relevant Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, state awards were presented to deputies of the Mejlis for their significant contribution to strengthening independence and sovereignty, developing legislation, increasing the country’s economic potential and international standing, as well as educating the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism, loyalty, courage and integrity.

The awarded deputies expressed their sincere gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan for the high appreciation of their work aimed at the development of the country, ensuring the well-being of the people and further enhancing the authority of the state.

Representatives of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan emphasised that they would continue to make every effort to improve the country’s legislative framework and carry out effective work in the interests of society and the state. They wished the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the esteemed President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov good health, longevity and further success in their important state activities.
