On the eve of the 35th anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan, ceremonies were held in the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag to present high state awards to citizens who have made a worthy contribution to the development of the national economy and public life through their effective work in various sectors of the country. This was reported by the electronic newspaper “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.
During the ceremonies held on September 24, honorary titles were awarded to production leaders, employees of ministries and sectoral government bodies, as well as representatives of culture, art and creative fields. Government representatives congratulated the award recipients on the upcoming Independence Day and wished them further success in their work for the prosperity of the people and the development of the Motherland. The ceremonies became a clear demonstration of the high appreciation given in the country to conscientious and productive labour, as well as state support for professional achievements.
Among those honoured with state awards were prominent representatives of the economy, industry, oil and gas sector, transport, communications, agriculture, education, science, healthcare, culture, art and other fields. They were recognised for their achievements in developing production, introducing modern technologies, improving the quality of services, and promoting national culture and creativity.
The highest state awards were presented in accordance with relevant Decrees signed by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov at the regular meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan. These awards represented high recognition of the long-term dedicated work of citizens who have made significant contributions to strengthening the economic potential of the independent state, social development, and the advancement of science, education, culture and art.
A number of citizens were also awarded honorary titles, including “People’s Artist of Turkmenistan”, “People’s Painter of Turkmenistan”, “People’s Bakhshi of Turkmenistan”, “Honoured Worker of Industry of Turkmenistan”, “Honoured Builder of Turkmenistan”, “Honoured Transport Worker of Turkmenistan”, “Honoured Communications Worker of Turkmenistan”, “Honoured Agricultural Worker of Turkmenistan”, “Honoured Healthcare Worker of Turkmenistan”, “Honoured Culture Worker of Turkmenistan”, “Honoured Artist of Turkmenistan”, “Honoured Bakhshi of Turkmenistan”, “Honoured Art Worker of Turkmenistan”, “Honoured Journalist of Turkmenistan”, “Honoured Worker of Social Services of Turkmenistan” and “Honoured Pilot of Turkmenistan”.
The ceremonies also highlighted the awarding of the honorary title “Hormatly il ýaşulusy” to representatives of the older generation who distinguished themselves through effective public activities and their contribution to educating young people in the spirit of patriotism, diligence and respect for national values. Several women were also awarded the “Zenan kalby” Order.
State awards were also presented to the winners of the competition for the President of Turkmenistan’s “Türkmeniň Altyn asyry” Prize. The award was recognised as a high appreciation of the contribution of creative professionals to the development of national culture and the enrichment of the spiritual world of the people.
The President of Turkmenistan congratulated creative workers who received state awards, as well as the winners of the “Türkmeniň Altyn asyry” competition. The congratulatory message emphasised the importance of further developing culture and art, as well as the role of cultural diplomacy in strengthening international relations.
The award recipients expressed their gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan and Hero-Arkadag for the trust placed in them and the high appreciation of their work. They noted that they would continue to make every effort to contribute to the country’s development and the prosperity of the people.
