On September 23, an ordinary meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan was held at the «Maslahat köşgi» Palace in Ashgabat. The important event, organized on the eve of the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence, focused on key issues related to the country’s socio-economic development, ensuring the well-being of the people, and defining future objectives. This was reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

The meeting was chaired by Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan. The event was attended by heads of state bodies, deputies of the Mejlis, representatives of public organizations, members of the people’s councils of the velayats and cities, as well as other invited participants.

During the meeting, speeches were delivered by Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan and National Leader of the Turkmen people, and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The speeches highlighted the country’s achievements during the years of independence, priority areas of state development, and the ongoing efforts aimed at ensuring the well-being of the population. The importance of effective public administration, strengthening economic potential, and maintaining social unity in achieving the goals set for the future was also emphasized.

During the meeting, priority areas of Turkmenistan’s socio-economic development and important tasks arising from state programs were discussed. Following the meeting, a number of documents aimed at the further development of the country were adopted. These included documents on honoring respected elders and mothers, awarding state distinctions to citizens who have achieved outstanding results in labor on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of independence, as well as creating favorable conditions for public recreation during the festive period.

The meeting also resulted in the preparation of the National Concept “International Law and Neutrality of Turkmenistan”, aimed at further strengthening the principles of the country’s permanent neutrality, a draft law on the state protection of Akhal-Teke horses, the State Program on Youth Policy in Turkmenistan until 2031, and the “National Strategy for Industrial Development of Turkmenistan for 2030–2045”, which defines the long-term directions of the country’s industrial development.

Participants of the Halk Maslahaty meeting delivered speeches expressing their views on the main directions of the country’s development, achievements made during the years of independence, implementation of state programs, and important tasks ahead. The speakers emphasized that the decisions adopted are aimed at further prosperity of the Motherland, ensuring the well-being of the people, and advancing the country towards new stages of development.
