The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has signed a Decree declaring September 28, 2026, a non-working day. Under the Decree, the day off falling on September 27 is transferred to September 29, Tuesday.

The document was adopted in order to ensure favorable conditions for the solemn celebration of Independence Day of Turkmenistan and a comfortable rest for the country's population on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan.

The Decree was issued in accordance with Part Two of Article 81 of the Labor Code of Turkmenistan. All institutions, enterprises and organizations, regardless of form of ownership, have been instructed to ensure its implementation.

The document was signed in Ashgabat on September 23, 2026.
