On August 30, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the State of Qatar M. Seyitmammedov met with Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Khorr, Director of the Diplomatic Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar. The two sides discussed prospects for developing cooperation between the diplomatic training institutions of the two countries.

During the meeting, the Ambassador informed the Qatari side that Turkmenistan has declared 2026 the Year of "Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses," and spoke about the high-level events being held in the country to mark the 35th anniversary of State Independence.

The meeting also addressed opportunities to develop cooperation between the Diplomatic Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar and the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
