On August 28, Honorable President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via digital system. The meeting addressed key issues related to the country's socio-economic development, legislative refinement, international cooperation, as well as the sectors of agriculture, energy, transport, education, and culture. This was reported by the electronic newspaper "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

The meeting discussed ongoing work regarding preparations for the upcoming session of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, modernizing legislative acts, and acceding to international documents. Preparations for the 111th meeting of the CIS Economic Council, to be held in Ashgabat in September, were also reviewed.

Relevant decisions were made on developing the oil refining industry, conducting maintenance work at the Turkmenbashi Oil Refineries Complex, and strengthening the material and technical infrastructure of the energy and railway sectors.

In agriculture, preparations for wheat sowing and cotton harvesting were discussed. With the blessing of the Head of State, wheat sowing in the provinces will start on September 2, and the cotton harvest will begin on September 9.

Special attention was given to preparations for the exhibition of economic achievements dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan's Independence and the festive events scheduled for September. Exhibitions, conferences, final rounds of creative contests, concerts, and other ceremonies will be held at a high organizational level.

Preparations for the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth and the start of the 2026–2027 academic year were also discussed. The first lesson of the new school year will focus on the motto of the year. First-grade pupils will receive "Bilimli" laptop computers as gifts. Furthermore, the opening of several new higher education institutions, secondary schools, and kindergartens is planned.

The meeting also reviewed matters concerning the national campaign month "Road Safety — Tranquility of Our Life," developing Turkmenistan's cooperation with the United Nations, and executing the national "Roadmap" to implement the outcomes of international forums.

During the meeting, several other important state affairs were addressed and relevant decisions were adopted. Concluding the meeting, the Honorable President emphasized the importance of successfully fulfilling the tasks ahead and congratulated the entire nation on the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth, the start of the new academic year, and the upcoming holidays.
