An online conference was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan with the head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kirkuk (Iraq), S. al-Salihi. This was reported on a website of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.

The parties discussed the prospects for bilateral trade and economic relations and mutually beneficial cooperation.

The Turkmen side expressed readiness to export textiles, food products, light industry goods and leather products to the Iraqi market. In turn, the Iraqi representatives, emphasizing the strategic and industrial significance of the city of Kirkuk in the region, expressed willingness to host in their country in the future a representative group of Turkmen entrepreneurs and to create new platforms for cooperation.

Iraqi businessmen were also invited to the international exhibition «Development of the Construction, Industrial, Chemical and Energy Sectors of Turkmenistan», which will be held in Ashgabat.
