On June 12, a meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mehdi Sobhani took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. This was reported by a press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed pressing issues of bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

The interlocutors noted their commitment to the development of Turkmen-Iranian relations based on the principles of good-neighborliness, mutual respect and trust.

Further steps toward the implementation of previously reached agreements were also discussed.
