On June 12, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov chaired a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via the digital communication system. During the meeting, a number of important issues related to various areas of state life were reviewed, and Decrees aimed at improving the economic, export, and social systems of the country were adopted. This was reported by the "Turkmenistan: Golden Age" electronic newspaper.
Information was provided on the ongoing work to bring the legislative framework of the country into compliance with the requirements of the time. Currently, new amendments and additions are being introduced to the Customs, Labor, Sanitary, Family, and Administrative Offenses Codes of Turkmenistan, as well as to the active laws on military duty, courts, and publishing activity. Along with this, productive cooperation continues with international organizations, including the United Nations Population Fund and the International Organization for Migration.
In the field of international economic relations, preparations are underway to hold the first meeting of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation in order to raise the relations between Turkmenistan and the Slovak Republic to a new level. In this regard, cooperation will be discussed in areas such as trade, energy, construction, transport, communications, agriculture, and tourism. Furthermore, as part of strengthening relations with the Asian region, instructions were given to prepare at a high level for the upcoming official visit of the Prime Minister of Malaysia to Turkmenistan.
In the oil and gas sector, programmatic measures are being implemented to reliably provide consumers with hydrocarbon resources and to increase natural gas production volumes. In this context, special importance is attached to establishing cooperation with leading Chinese companies. The Head of State signed relevant documents to carry out the tasks set before the industry. In the sector of industry and construction production, a proposal was approved to fully utilize the production capacity of the "Türkmendemirönümleri" state enterprise and to ensure the uninterrupted supply of construction projects with high-quality materials.
The agricultural report noted that combine harvesters and trucks for transporting grain are operating at full capacity in the regions to harvest the wheat crop in a short time and without losses. Concurrently, care activities are being carried out in the cotton fields in accordance with agrotechnical standards. Rice sowing and care continue in Dashoguz and Lebap velayats, while preparations for sowing autumn sugar beets are underway in Mary velayat. Definite measures are being taken to create fodder reserves in livestock farms and to improve the water supply of arable lands.
In the textile industry, relevant orders are being executed to establish new enterprises equipped with modern technologies and to expand the variety of competitive, high-quality textile products. In order to strengthen cultural potential, instructions were given to organizedly conduct music and song celebrations, exhibitions, and creative meetings within the framework of the Culture Week to be held in Balkan velayat from June 22 to June 27.
In order to develop the science system, the "State Program for the Promotion of Achievements of Science, Engineering, and Technologies in Turkmenistan for 2026–2030" was approved. A new Decree was also signed to strengthen the material and technical base of the transport and communications complex. At the end of the meeting, the Honorable President cordially congratulated the Government members and the entire Turkmen people on Science Day, which is solemnly celebrated in the country.
