An Austrian delegation headed by the Director of the Department for International Economic Relations of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Economy of the Republic of Austria, Elisabeth Weissenbock, has begun its visit to the capital of Turkmenistan. This was reported by an International Information Center of Turkmenistan.

The main purpose of the visit is participation in the 13th session of the Joint Turkmen-Austrian Commission. A Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan served as the venue for the talks, where a round table was organized, during which the parties discussed the current state of the partnership and promising areas for expanding contacts.

Following the plenary session, bilateral meetings were held, at which joint projects in the fields of energy, transport, logistics and the introduction of advanced technologies were examined in detail.

The second half of the day was entirely devoted to direct contacts between business communities. B2B negotiations were held on the sidelines of the business forum, where entrepreneurs from the two countries discussed opportunities for increasing mutual trade turnover, establishing joint ventures and supplying industrial products.
