Ashgabat hosts ameeting of Turkmen-Turkish Intergovernmental Commission on economic cooperation

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan hosted the ninth meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission on Economic Cooperation. The event was attended by heads of relevant ministries and agencies of Turkmenistan, alongside a representative delegation that arrived in our country led by Cevdet Yılmaz, Vice President of the Republic of Türkiye. This was reported by the electronic newspaper Turkmenistan: Golden Age.

During the meeting, the participants reviewed the progress of implementing measures outlined in the work plan adopted based on the Protocol of the Commission's eighth meeting.

The transport and logistics sector was identified as a key vector of bilateral relations. An exchange of views took place regarding the development of a modern transport infrastructure that ensures efficient freight transport and connects the regions of Central Asia and Europe. The energy sector was also among the critical issues discussed. The meeting participants emphasized that cooperation in these fields, along with strengthening the economies of both nations, will help ensure energy and transport security across the entire Eurasian region.

Following the ninth meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission on Economic Cooperation, a corresponding Protocol was signed.
