The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan, Atadurdy Bayramov, held a meeting on May 22, 2026, with former Prime Minister of Japan and Head of the Liberal Democratic Party’s Headquarters for Economic Growth Strategy, Fumio Kishida. This was reported by the press service of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Japan.
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues related to the development of political, interparliamentary, and interparty relations, as well as economic, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation between Turkmenistan and Japan.
The meeting also addressed specific areas for further development of Turkmen–Japanese political, interparliamentary, and party cooperation, support for Japanese companies involved in major projects in the oil, gas, and chemical industries, as well as the strengthening of economic cooperation.
