The National Equestrian Games Group “Galkynyş” took part in the 8th International Ethnosport and Culture Festival held in Istanbul, Republic of Türkiye. This was reported by the electronic newspaper “Turkmenistan: Golden Age.”

Within the framework of the festival, delegations from various countries presented the national cultural traditions, equestrian games, and traditional sports of their peoples. The performance of the “Galkynyş” group made a particularly strong impression on the audience. Their captivating program and national costumes added a unique and vibrant color to the event, showcasing Turkmen riders in a distinctive way.

The horsemen, performing in harmony with the renowned “heavenly” Akhal-Teke horses, created a real sensation. Participants and guests of the festival watched the complex stunts involving Akhal-Teke horses with great interest and highly praised the group’s sophisticated performances, which are widely recognized worldwide, rewarding them with enthusiastic applause.

On the final day of the International Ethnosport and Culture Festival, which brought together more than a thousand participants from 24 countries, awards were presented to the participants.

At the closing ceremony of the sports and cultural event, the National Equestrian Games Group “Galkynyş” performed. The fact that the group was awarded high honors at the festival is further confirmation of the high level of mastery of Turkmen equestrian traditions and the international recognition of this talented ensemble.
