On May 22, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov chaired a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via a digital system. During the meeting, issues related to the sustainable development of the country's financial and economic system and the ongoing work on drafting the State Budget of Turkmenistan for 2027 were discussed. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Hojamyrat Geldimyradov reported on the work being carried out for the timely preparation of the drafts of the State Budget, the main directions of the country's socio-economic development, and the investment Program for the coming year. In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister submitted a draft Resolution for the consideration of the Head of State, specifying the deadlines for the submission of relevant information by ministries, sectoral departments, and hakimliks.
As noted in the report, maintaining macroeconomic stability, ensuring the growth rate of the gross domestic product, introducing the digital system into production, and further improving the living standards of the population were defined as the main goals when preparing next year's State Budget. When drawing up the new financial plan, the country's real capabilities and the indicators of the President's programs are taken as a basis.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, having heard the report, emphasized the effectiveness of the financial measures taken for the socio-economic development of Turkmenistan. With the aim of systematically continuing these works in the coming year, the Head of State signed the Resolution "On drafting the State Budget of Turkmenistan for 2027" and gave specific instructions to the Deputy Prime Minister in this regard.
