On May 22, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedow chaired a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via a digital system. During the meeting, issues related to the modernization of the country's transport and communications complex and improving the quality of services in the railway system were reviewed. This was reported by the electronic newspaper "Turkmenistan: Golden Age."

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Annaýew reported on the ongoing work to strengthen the material and technical base of the country's railway transport sector. It was noted that modern equipment meeting international standards is systematically introduced into this sector, and relevant measures are being taken to carry out major repairs on passenger coaches in use, aiming to provide high-quality and cultured services to the population. Projects in this area are implemented in effective cooperation with leading foreign companies, and the Deputy Prime Minister submitted a corresponding proposal for the consideration of the Head of State.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedow, having heard the report, emphasized the importance of modernizing the railway transport sector and constantly maintaining a high level of passenger service quality. The Head of State approved the submitted proposal on the overhaul of passenger coaches of the "Demirýollary" Open Joint-Stock Company and gave specific instructions to the Deputy Prime Minister to properly implement the work planned in this direction.
