Regular Meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan held

On May 22, Honorable President Serdar Berdimuhamedow chaired a regular meeting of the Government via a digital system. Issues related to various areas of state life were discussed during the meeting. This was reported by the electronic newspaper "Turkmenistan: Golden Age."

In the course of the meeting, with the view of developing the economic and financial systems, a Decree on drafting the State Budget of Turkmenistan for 2027 was signed. Proposals on developing oil and gas fields in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea and establishing the National Negotiating Team to conduct talks on the country’s membership in the World Trade Organization were also endorsed.

As part of the agricultural report, the Head of State gave his blessing to start the grain harvest in the country. According to the official decision, the harvest season will begin in Ahal, Lebap, and Mary velayats on June 3, and in Balkan and Dashoguz velayats on June 10.

Significant steps were also taken in the construction and healthcare sectors. A Decree was signed on building new schools, a kindergarten, and a health house in the Buzmeyin etrap of Ashgabat, alongside a document approving the "National Strategy for the Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases in Turkmenistan for 2026–2030."

Among the cultural and mass events, reports were presented on preparations for the Turkmen Carpet Day, World Bicycle Day, and other glorious dates to be celebrated in June. Furthermore, it was announced that the UN General Assembly unanimously adopted a new Resolution regarding the policy of neutrality, introduced at the initiative of Turkmenistan.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Head of State congratulated citizens on Ashgabat City Day and the "Last Bell" ceremony. He also announced that Eid al-Adha (Kurban Bayrami) will be celebrated on May 27-28-29 and signed the corresponding Decree.
