From April 27 to 29, the UN Economic Commission for Europe is holding the 10th international forum on public-private partnership in Barcelona. A delegation from Turkmenistan is actively participating in the event. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
As noted, members of the Turkmen delegation will provide participants with information regarding efforts to develop a modern market economy and strengthen the role of the private sector in our country. In this regard, the significance of the "Avaza" National Tourist Zone as a positive platform for attracting private investment will be highlighted. As a landlocked country, Turkmenistan attaches particular importance to the development of public-private partnerships for landlocked developing nations. Relatedly, the importance of the Avaza Programme of Action for Landlocked Developing Countries for the decade 2024–2034 will be emphasized at the forum.
Participants of the international forum will also be introduced to promising areas of cooperation such as transport and logistics infrastructure, modern energy, the agro-industrial complex, the digital economy, urban infrastructure, and tourism.
"Turkmenistan's participation in this forum confirms the country's commitment to expanding international economic cooperation, implementing modern public-private partnership mechanisms, and promoting sustainable development," the report states.
