Turkmenistan improves its legislative framework in accordance with the requirements of the time
On March 27, a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers was held via digital system under the chairmanship of Honorable President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. During the government meeting, important issues of state life were considered. Chairperson of the Mejlis Dunyagozel Gulmanova provided information on measures being implemented to bring national legislation in line with modern requirements. Currently, work is underway on several draft laws based on proposals received from relevant ministries and sectoral departments. In particular, taking into account international experience and the provisions of the Constitution, amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses and the Customs Code are being considered. Preparatory work also continues on introducing additions to legislative acts related to industrial safety, accounting, fishing, migration, and other areas. Furthermore, it was noted that within the framework of international cooperation, parliamentarians participated in working meetings and training seminars conducted by United Nations agencies together with relevant state bodies of the country. These measures are aimed at developing mutually beneficial relations with foreign countries and international organizations. The Head of State emphasized the importance of developing new draft laws. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed to consistently continue work in this direction to ensure that the country's legal framework matches the pace of modern development.
