Today, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent a solemn congratulatory message to all Turkmen people and compatriots on the occasion of the National Spring Festival — International Nowruz Day. In his address, the Head of State specifically emphasized that this ancient holiday is a symbol of unity, peace, and renewal. In his message, the President drew attention to the fact that Nowruz is not only the awakening of nature but also a great cultural heritage. In his speech, he stated: "The traditions of Nowruz are widely described in the works of such masters of the word as Magtymguly Pyragy, Mahmyt Kashgarly, Mahmyt Gayyby, and Bayram Khan. Our wise poets emphasized in their works that Nowruz strengthens friendship and brotherhood among peoples..." It was also highlighted that the traditions of the Nowruz holiday have taken a worthy place on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity and are celebrated at the international level based on the relevant UN Resolution. The Head of State reminded that the year 2026 is rich in glorious events, particularly the wide celebration of the 35th anniversary of our sacred Independence. He noted the significance of the great reforms initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag, in the political and economic strengthening of the country. Noting that with the arrival of spring, farmers are laying the foundation for a new harvest, the President said: "The nourishing rains falling in early spring adorn our generous steppes, beautiful pastures, and sacred mountains with the unique beauty of the spring season. The fertility of our land increases, and blooming tulips and lush gardens enhance the splendor of Turkmen nature." At the conclusion of his message, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished all compatriots robust health, a peaceful, and happy life. "May the soul-stirring melodies of Nowruz, as a hymn to unity and brotherhood, resound forever!" — with these words, the Head of State concluded his warm wishes.
